Shrimp Outlet - South Padre Island

South Padre Island, a beautiful fertile area where shrimp abound. We were directed to the Shrimp Outlet. One might think that the word "outlet" suggests bargain basement food but I met the owner and he's really into providing shrimp treated with a kiwi solution ($$$) instead of the traditional sodium bisulfate. I'm told many are allergic to sodium bisulfate and he is offering a option/solution. More expensive he says, but worth it. Tasted great!

  1. Interesting about the sodium bisulfate. Was the kiwi solution actually kiwis, or did the solution come from New Zealand?

  2. I'm pretty sure he meant real kiwis... Much potential.
